Syracuse and King Of Spades provided the stable with a double over the last couple of days with both breaking their maiden tags in their respective maidens.

Syracuse was first to score in the 2yo Maiden 1200m on Saturday. Due to COVID restrictions, the meeting was moved from Kembla to Goulburn, which brought a heavy 10 on the day. Syracuse relished conditions and although having a good look round in front, scored by a comfortable two and a half lengths. She looks to handle wet conditions well and we'll look to keep her on the go this winter. Well done to owners- Corumbene Stud Pty Ltd

King Of Spades headed down to Nowra on Monday for the C&G Maiden Plate. Again heavy conditions brought just a four horse field, however King Of Spades did a wonderful job running down the leader to win in promising style. He is a very immature horse and for him to win in this manner bodes well for his future going forward. We expext him to get out in trip and could have something to offer over the coming season. A fantastic purchase by Champion Thoroughbreds for just $30,000. Well done to owners- Sedgewyn, Mrs S A Schumak, Mr M Schumak, Mr G C Green, Mr M W Finemore, Mrs M M Bailey, Mr D H Long, Mrs B A Leonard, Mr B M Leonard, Miss V Leonard, Mr W S Simpson, Mrs K R Baker, Mr P Baker, Lotave, Thug Thoroughbreds, Mperezive Racing, Hats And Heels , Mr M E J Mcintyre, Mr N R Blizard, Mr S J Brown
