3YO Your Song gelding Bergen put his best foot forward on debut at Kembla Grange on Saturday, winning over the 1300m journey. Bergen had two nice trials leading into Saturday's race and was advantaged by the inside draw in the field of nine runners. Ridden by Shaun Guymer, he began well and settled fifth off a good tempo and relaxed beautifully throughout before balancing up around the hometurn to stretch out and defeat his rivals by a convincing 1.8 length margin.

"He doesn't know much yet but when i gave him a reminder in the straight, he levelled out like a nice horse" commented Guymer after the win.

Bergen was purchased by the Domeland syndicate from the Riversdale Draft at the 2017 Magic Millions sale for $35,000. His dam, Moti (NZ) - a multiple stakes winner has now produced 4 foals to race for 4 winners.

Congratulations to his owners!
