It was a brave, front running effort that earned Chauvinist his maiden victory at Hawkesbury on Tuesday. The 3YO handsome son of Denman was having his sixth career start and first go over 1500m when he repaid his owners patience for the well-deserved win. Lining up as the second favourite in the field of 8 runners, Chauvinist began well and was able to lead comfortably off a slow tempo.
