Dawn Raid made his sixth return to the winner's circle at Newcastle on Saturday, earning his connections over $100k to date. The Charge Forward 5YO gelding was having his 19th career start and was aiming for back to back victories after a win at Hawkebsury over 1500m on December 9th.

It was a special win for 3 kilo claiming apprentice Billy Owen who was having his first ride for the stable and rode him with plenty of inititivae "Massive thanks to the John O'Shea stable, they presented Dawn Raid in magnificent order and he was too good. This win was a special one for me with a couple of close friends from my hometown (Gundagai) in the ownership" commented Billy after the win.

Dawn Raid has now earnt a crack at city grade which will likely be at Canterbury next Friday night over 1550m.
