Progressive Sebring colt King's Peak notched his second career win at start number five when first-up over 1400m at Goulburn's showcase meeting on Saturday. Carrying 60kg's, he jumped from barrier two and got a lovely trail behind the leaders. He travelled strongly around the hometurn and kicked away for a 0.6L victory.

Jockey Shaun Guymer praised the colt for his first-up efforts "He's a beautiful colt, he was a little keen in the middle stages but he was just too good for them in the end- he's got plenty more wins in store".

King's Peak was a $110,000 purchase from the 2017 Magic Millions sale for Domeland from the Newgate Farm draft. He's out of a half-sister to mutliple stakes winner Dundonnell and is from the family of Danehill.
