After a promising first up effort at Newcastle behind subsequent Dulcify Stakes Winner Mo'unga, Lion's Roar confirmed the form winning convincingly at Kembla Grange in the Class 1 1600m, taking his career wins to 2 from 3 starts.

Under the guidance Mitchell Bell, Lion's Roar led wire to wire with plenty of pressure from the others. Approaching home he a possible to tire late, however it toughed it out in gutsy fashion to win handsomely.

Lion's Roar has the most fantastic attitude and a real competitor. He looks a promosing stayer in the making and will head to Rosehill on the 26/09 for the Gloaming Stakes G3 over 1800m.

Well done to owners- Champion Thoroughbreds, Mr R M Hodge, Mrs S J Codner, Mr G Koneski, Ms V L Sheils, Mr J A Denny, Mr S J Brown, Mrs L Miller, Mr S A Miller, Mr H Bayliss, Mr J G Codner, Lotave, Mr M E J Mcintyre, Ms M J M Lambert, Mrs D L Fisher, Mr G B Lamont, Mrs F J O'shea, Sedgewyn, Mr J P Purtell, Mr D Steffel
