3YO filly Loved One was too strong when first-up at Newcastle on Thursday over 1200m. The daughter of Ocean Park, landed in the box seat from barrier 3 in the field of 11 runners and travelled strongly throughout. She excellarated at the top of the straight when a gap appeared and motored home to defeat her rivals by 1.15L. 

"She'll improve alot off that win" commented jockey Tommy Berry after the race "She'll probably get out to a mile this prep and she's kicked off her prep well with a solid effort".

Bred and raced by Waikato Stud, Loved One has now had 7 starts for 2 wins and one placing with plenty more in store this preparation.
