Rocha Clock got her preparation back on track with a devastating win on Saturday at Randwick in the BM78 1300m under a cool and in-form Hugh Bowman.

After a dissapointing first up effort in the James B H Carr where nothing went right for her, we went back to basics and rode her back to ensure she relaxed and raced in a professional manner. From a wide barrier. Hugh settled the filly back in last anchoring her into a nice rhytmn. As the speed slowed mid race, Rocha Clock was still a little inclined to over race, however Hugh kept his cool and as the race developed again he got on the back of So Taken approaching the straight. With still a huge task on his hands, he cooly pulled her across heels and produced a devistating turn of foot to win in a matter of strides. She produced some electric sectionals and firmly put herself back on track for the preparation.

Hugh was quick to comment after what a big heart she has and gave credit to the team back at the stables for getting her back to her best after a negative run 2 weeks prior.

Rocha Clock will head to either the Inglis Guineas or the Dark Jewel Classic (both 1400m) on the 16/05 at Rosehill before a possible tilt in Queensland if she was to perform well.

Well done to owner Jason Abrahams
