Southern Lad got his deserved stakes win in the Ramornie Hcp at the Grafton Carnival yesterday under a great ride by Christian Reith.

After nearly 2 years out the winners stall, but some fine efforts behind the likes of Masked Crusader and Classique Legend, Southern Lad had his day in the sun with a fine win in the Ramornie. It is very rewarding for his ownership group to get the win and hopefully he can gain some confidence going forward. Congratulations to owners- Champion Thoroughbreds, Mperezive Racing, Mr G C Green, Mrs J S Willis, Mr B Quinlan, Mr J A Denny, Mr S Bunt, Mr S Thatcher, Mr D H Long, Mr G R Tomlinson, Mr R M Farrar, Tab Rewards, Ms K J Mcdougall, Miss J M Petrie, Mr C Hodgkinson, Mr S A Mccormack, Mr D Steffel
