ANZAC Day Double

It was a double for the stable on the Kensington circuit with both Fall For Cindy and Strombus posting impressive victories.

The first success came in the form of Fall For Cindy in the fifth race over 1550m. The daughter of Sacred Falls dug deep over the final furlong to edge out her rival in the closing stages. After a torrid run last start in heavy ten conditions, it was a pleasing result to see the three-year-old rewarded with victory. The possible targets moving forward will be dependent on how the filly comes through the run, with a lot of nice races for her over the next six weeks.

Big congratulations to winning owner:

Mr G J Chittick

The last race of the day saw Strombus pick up his second career victory. The four-year-old proved two strong, aided by an excellent ride from Brenton Avdulla. In what has been a frustrating preparation thanks to a combination of wide barriers and races being postponed, it was a well earnt victory for the son of Territories. The gelding will now be allowed to work through his grades, with a possible target on the 10th of May over 1400m back on the Kensington track.

Congratulations to winning owners:

Mystery Downs, Finemore Thoroughbreds, Mrs C M Cook, Mr C E Holt, Dr C G Lawler, Mr M Angelos, Mr J D Melick
