Tom Charlton

Trainer, Tom is well respected in the racing and breeding industry having a thorough knowledge and background. Hailing from Marlborough, Whiltshire and the son of successful British trainer, Roger Charlton. Tom commenced with John O’Shea Racing in January 2019. A keen form analyst Tom is a valuable asset and member of the John O’Shea Racing Team.

Bella Fourer

Office Manager. Bella was previously employed by both Ron Quinton and the Cummings family. Her knowledge of accounting and business systems and the inner working of a leading stable is second to none.

With a willingness to add value to the business through the highest quality of service, Bella is an integral and much loved part of the team.

Jackson Gwynne

Office Admin, a country boy from Armidale, Jackson found his way into racing of a young age. His father was a hobbyist trainer back at home where Jackson found a love for thoroughbreds working the early mornings before and after school. Jackson began as a stable hand at O’Shea’s mucking the boxes and taking horses to races. It wasn’t long until John noticed Jackson’s potential where he would become an Office Admin. Jackon is a crucial member of the staff as he helps Tom and John with many aspects such as acceptances for horses and information for owners.

Jackson is a hard-working staff member and is beginning to make a name for himself in the racing community. He also has ambitions of working in bloodstocks in the future.

 

Chloe Connolly

Head Foreman at the Randwick stable, Chloe oversees all the horses in the stable and manages the staff. Chloe is from Ireland, County Laois and has been the life and soul of the stable for over five years. She began her journey with horses prior to O’Shea in the breeding side of things, breaking in yearlings and working with studs for sales. Her experience with horses is of high quality and is the reason she worked her way up from stable hand to foreman in a short matter of time.

Chloe also has a degree in Business Equine and is an integral part of the team as she goes above and beyond her duties to ensure the stable runs smoothly and efficiently.

 

Jenny Righton

Jenny Righton, Foreman at Randwick Stables. Jenny came to Australia from England on a gap year and began to work for a stud farm where she found an instant passion for horses. Jenny went on to work for a stud for four years and eventually find her way to John O’Shea Racing. Jenny’s role involves making sure all horses are healthy and that all staff are happy. This involves things such as administrating medication for horses, organising staff for racing days, organising rosters weekly and has quickly begun to make a name for herself in the racing community.

Jenny is first in the stables of a morning and last to leave, ensuring that all aspects of the stable have been done of a high quality. The stable would not be where it is without her.

 

Dr Caroline Foote

Caroline is the bee’s knees to having a healthy and successful horse. Her nutritional advice for horse growth, development, and performance is why she is in high demand for horse trainers. Caroline’s research improves horse performance while reducing disease risk through improved nutritional and management strategies. Dr. Caroline Foote has many credentials such as: Doctor of Philosophy (University of Sydney), Masters of Applied Science (University of Queensland) and, Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Honours (University of Sydney). Caroline’s high work ethic is not unnoticed by staff, owners, and trainers as her efforts are reciprocated in the horses’ efforts daily.
