Promising Tavistock gelding Cotehele delivered on his potential at Randwick to secure his first Saturday win and set up a Spring campaign with lofty targets.
Allowed to settle through the early stages by Tom Sherry, he tracked the leader into the straight and when produced at the top of the rise sprinted away to record what was a decisive victory. The win was also Sherry’s first winner since coming out of his apprenticeship earlier in the week and a good team of owners were on hand to witness the victory as well, making for a great winning photo below:
