Jason Collett’s ride saw the gelding positioned outside the speed and when the pair came to the final turn the classy seven-year-old toughed it out holding off the fast finishing Luncies.
With this latest victory, Leo’s career earnings have surged past the $2.3million mark, a testament to his consistency. Following his triumph Lion’s Roar is now setting his sights on the $3million race The Big Dance.
