Bartolf (So You Think x Lesley’s Choice) wins on his debut at Scone with Andrew Adkins in the saddle.
After two impressive trials at Randwick, Bartolf was looking to kick-off his campaign strong. Although faced with the challenge of a wide-barrier and heavy conditions, John was keen to run the 2YO colt knowing the wide barrier would be advantageous as the fence would be off.
The pair was second-last coming to the bend, but once Bartolf straightened, he was able to exhibit his talents finishing strong through the line proving too good for his competitors. Well done to Andrew Adkins on the ride!
This win was also a special win for the stable as it was also the first win under the new training partnership. John and Tom Charlton officially went into training partnership on the 1st of July. Tom will begin his new role at the stable in the next coming weeks after his honeymoon.
