Hell, I Am Good

William Pike made use of Hell I Am’s inside barrier at Randwick on Saturday to secure the promising gelding’s first Saturday win.

On a day where winners were making use of inside and forward positions, Pike showed initiative to land on the back of the leader before peeling to the middle of the track to chase down the runaway Pioneer River over the concluding stages.

The win was another display of the Hellbent gelding’s tenacity and brought his record this preparation to 3 victories from 4 starts with over $175,000 in prizemoney for connections.

Another trip to the Gold Coast is in store for the promising Champion Thoroughbreds galloper, with this year’s 3yo MM Classic winner King of Sparta running 2nd in the same race Hell I Am won on Saturday before clinching success on the Glitter Strip.

Congratulations to his owners: Champion Thoroughbreds, Mrs C A Richards, Dr M Healy, Mr J O’Mahoney, Mr M J Fallon, Mrs L Miller, Mr S A Miller, Mr S J Brown, Mr W S Simpson, Mr N R Blizard, Mrs K R Baker, Mr P Baker, Lotave, Mr A J McNamara, Mr T S Fisher, Ms T McIntyre, Dalanna Bloodstock, Sedgewyn, Mr J Gregory, Mr C D Hands
