Home Bred Success Continues

Another New Zealand home bred filly was the star of the show on Tuesday as Tavi L’Amour put away a maiden field with ease over a mile at Hawkesbury.

After Koshu’s success for Trelawney Stud last week, it was Cambridge Stud’s daughter of Tavistock who thrust herself into the limelight this time. Jumping a short priced favourite, she was positioned just behind the speed in a small field and raced to the front on straightening. From there it was a matter of keeping the filly rolling down the Hawkesbury straight to record her first victory.

She will be allowed to continue working through her grades, with her appetite for wet tracks boding well for this preparation through Sydney’s winter.

Congratulations to her owners: Mr B J Lindsay, Mrs J E A Lindsay
