Kirwan’s Lane dropped back to BM88 grade for the first time since beating Elsberg back in May and got himself back in the game, winning in game fashion under Tom Sherry.
Caught in the box seat against the fence, Kirwan’s Lane was going to need some luck at the top of the straight. He saw a half gap, took it and pinned his ears back to win by a quarter of a length. He is a horse who loves a fight and is a credit to himself.
He is likely to backup in the Marouba Mile on New Year’s Day.
