New & Old on Display as Autumn Gears Up

Debutant Café Millennium announced himself on Saturday when launching down the Randwick straight to put himself in contention for a host of 2yo feature races over the Autumn carnival.

A mountainous son of champion sire Not A Single Doubt, he used his expansive stride to run over the top of his highly fancied rivals. A homebred for Ron Finemore and John Leaver, it is fitting he is from the last crop of Not A Single Doubt given his breeders connection with the champion stallion.

He will now be given some time to get over this run before his next run is picked out, likely to be back at Randwick over 1200m.

Congratulations to his owners: Finemore Thoroughbreds, Planette Thoroughbred Trading Pty Ltd

Not to be outdone, Quantico returned off a years break and went straight into the winner’s stall aided by Kerrin McEvoy. The win was a culmination of months of work by the teams at Yarraman Park, James Hardings and the Randwick stable to get the 6yo gelding firing first up off a long lay off.

Big congratulations must go to his patient ownership group of China Horse Club Racing Pty Ltd, J E Abrahams Pty Ltd, Werrett Bloodstock Pty Ltd, Yarraman Park Stud, Mr A D Paradice, Bill Duncan Bloodstock Pty Ltd, Mr R B Gold, HM & YP, Segenhoe Thoroughbreds Australia.
